How to use a travel eSIM with your usual SIM
Keep your number for calls and texts while the travel eSIM handles your data, without paying roaming charges.
Keep your usual SIM switched on if you want calls and texts on your number.
Choose the travel eSIM for mobile data. iPhone: Settings › Mobile Data › Mobile Data. Android: Settings › Network & internet › SIMs, then turn on Mobile data for the travel eSIM.
Turn off data roaming on your usual SIM so your home provider doesn’t charge for data abroad.
On iPhone, turn off “Allow Mobile Data Switching” so your phone doesn’t fall back to your usual line.
Use WhatsApp, FaceTime or other apps to call over data.
