Controller
JayeSim Ltd is the controller of your personal data. Contact our privacy team at [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
What we collect
Account: email address, optional name, language, currency, sign-in method (email code, Apple or Google).
Orders: what you bought, prices, payment status, card brand and last four digits (from Stripe), billing country.
eSIM: ICCID, installation and usage data from our network partner, so we can show your usage and alert you.
Devices and security: signed-in devices, IP address, approximate country and browser type, used to protect your account and prevent fraud.
Why we use it (lawful basis)
To provide the service you bought (contract).
To keep accounts secure and prevent fraud (legitimate interests).
To keep invoices and payment records for tax law (legal obligation).
To send marketing emails only if you opted in (consent), which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
Stripe (payments), our eSIM network partner (to provision your eSIM; we do not send them your name or email), our server hosting provider (servers and database), Cloudflare (security, delivery and file storage), our email delivery provider (sending account and order emails), Expo (app notifications), Intercom (support chat, when you use it), Sentry (error reports, without card or eSIM secrets).
Some providers process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
Account data while your account is open. Orders, payments and invoices for 6 years after the end of the tax year (HMRC requirement). Security logs and usage readings for up to 90 days.
Your rights
You can download a copy of your data and delete your account from Settings. Deletion takes effect after 7 days (so you can change your mind); we then remove your personal details and keep only the financial records the law requires, no longer linked to you.
You can also ask us to correct your data or object to its use by emailing [email protected].
